I see my body and it is pretty different than it was some years ago, I am not referring to the shape but to the skin. I’ve gotten 4 tattoos in the past 3 years. I remember that, since I was a child, I grew up with the idea of having tattoos, I used to look to the people with this kind of body art and I liked how they looked, also I related tattoos with people with a strong and defined personality as me.

I perfectly remember my first tattoo experience. I worked in a friend’s jewellery; it was a big and old place, not very clean and with a strong odorant smell that made me feel down sick. I arrived one Friday, I was happy because it was finally weekend and payday. My friend and I were talking about music, clothes, parties, her couple relationship and all of that girl stuff. It was almost time to go out. My friends’ dad arrived and paid me, and she was waiting for her boyfriend so she asked me to stay with her, 20 minutes later he arrived: a tall black hair guy, brown skin, kind of sloppy, with a hippie look, but what called my attention the most was that his arms were full of tattoos, I could see a red dragon, some black stars and lots of colours. I was surprised and I began to ask him where he had gotten his tattoos. After an extensive talk I told him: -I have always wanted to get ink- and he said: -why do not you get a tattoo today? You
already have money and I can take you to the tattoo studio-, I felt confused. I did not know if I was doing the right or the wrong thing, but at the end I said yes.

We arrived to the tattoo studio called “fine line tattoo”. I looked into my notebook draws and chose a fairy done by me, and then a big man went out of a room, he was tall and a little bit fat, brown skin, with moustache, hairless and with a pocho style. I asked him how much my tattoo would cost and he said 5 hundred pesos, I though it was a good price so I told him to do it. He took me into a small room whereas he prepared the material, and I asked my friend to stay with me. The small room was white, it looked clean and there were lots of tattoo designs on the wall, I also saw a sterilizer and some needles. I was pretty nervous, my hands were shaking and I felt a big hole in my stomach, but at the same time I was excited for all to begin.

Finally the man came into the room, he had my fairy design in a black piece of paper, then he put on a pair of gloves and a mask, he asked me what colours would I want for the tattoo, then he took a needle and introduced it into the gun and put the design on my back hip, he stepped on a pedal that was on the floor and a mosquito sound became from the gun, I felt more nervous and the man asked me: –are you ready?-, I was not completely ready but I said yes, I closed my eyes and hold strongly my friends’ hand, I felt the needle going through my skin like if something was itching me, it hurt but nothing I could not handle. It was amazing how the ink was getting into my skin. It took almost an hour to do the boundary lines, then the man took 5 more needles and added them to the gun, he began to tattoo the inside colours, I could barely feel the pain because my skin was already numb, I was bleeding a bit, but this part was faster than the boundary, and after 30 minutes he said -it is done!-.

I stood up, went to the mirror and checked out my new tattoo, it was amazing, the colours, the fairy itself and the fact that it was my own design, in that moment I realized that the pain I felt was worth and I went out of the place with a big smile on my face. Nowadays I have 4 tattoos and every time I go to get a new one I remember this experience and I still feeling the same when I hear the gun tattoo sound.

ESSAY

Nowadays, electronic tools are a very important part in our daily life. We are a new generation surrounded by technology. We are in a continous learning and these tools help us to achieve this learning, so, it is imp0ortant to be in touch with them because as time goes by we leave the old ones, to use the new ones.

Having a computer was a luxury that not everyone could afford. I remember when my dad bought us a computer. I was very excited. Even though I did not have the knowledge to use it because nobody taught me to use it, I learned by practicing. At the beginning, we did not have internet because it was very expensive, but I remember in junior high school, teachers began to give us assignment such as researches, and with this, the use of internet began necessary for educational purposes. Some time later I had internet at home, I learned to use e-mail, messenger, social pages etc. Each day I learned more than the day before and the use of internet and a computer became something common in my life without noticing the advantages and disadvantages.

It is said that something bad, brings something good and vice versa. Making this tool a part of my life, made me be a little bit lazy, because now I know I can find everything on the web. A big disadvantage is that not everything on the web is reliable and it can be manipulated, sometimes we do not have the necessary knowledge or maturity to understand a certain topic and wrong information may affect the reader. Other bad thing is pornography and all type of adult material that turns very easy to get. On the other hand, there are many advantages such as all the information that helps people acquire new knowledge or prove one that is alreadt known, other is the advantage to communicate with people that may live in another house or in anothes continent. Internet does not have a main purpose; I think that each person uses it according to what they need ir are looking for. Every electronic tool is a big step for our generation, the difficult part is to know how to use them correctly, once you know, it is not as hard, it opens a new way of learning.

Everyday we are able to see how schools encourage the use of e-tools inside and outside the classroom. An example is "enciclomedia" which is an electronic board used un elementary school, word processors, web search engines are antoher indisplensable tool for educational purposes, another big point in education is long distance education. There are many reasons to keep learning behind a computer. In my personal case, e-tools helped me to be in touch with English, it was a very important reason why I did not forget it because I was in touch with native speakers or reading English paragraphs which helped me to acquire new vocabulary and practiced the one I already had.

Each person is responsible for thei own knowledge and the information the get. Internet give us the tools and it is in our hands to keeo either the good or bad things out of it. We are in a continous process of developing and being update is a part of evolution.

FINAL DRAFT
There are many personalities, different people, different faces, and it is obvious that there are not two identical people in the world. I consider myself unique and because of all the things I have been through, both positive and negative, I see myself as a successful woman, but I must work hard to achieve it.
My name is Diana Sofia Pacheco Vallín, but I like people to call me Sophie, I am proudly Mexican, I am 20 years old and nowadays I am studying the BA in ELT at the Universidad Autónoma de Aguascalientes. I am a friendly and social girl, a nice person with the ones that are nice with me. I have a weird temper, I'm kind of bipolar; this means that I may love sunset today and hate it tomorrow, also I am a very distracted person and I usually forget everything, that is why people keep reminding me things, I have many hobbies but one of my favorites is writing. Since I was a child I began to write stories and a diary, now I enjoy to write songs or simply thoughts, I like to hang out with my friends whom I love, but certainly my family is my biggest treasure, they had been with me in the good and times.
I have been through many situations that have changed my life. Not so long I lost a very important person in my life, it was a big hit that made me realize how fast life goes by and of course to appreciate each person that is by my side. A positive thing that changed my life was the fact to study the college which is an opportunity that not everyone has. Two years ago I decided to study something related to languages, so I went to Monterrey city to the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León to present an exam for "Interpretation and Translation Degree" but unfortunately I did not pass the exam so I came back to Aguascalientes to study the BA in ELT, which changed my plans but gave me new ones for my professional life.
It is not easy to work hard every time. To build a future needs dedication and to invest time in it. In 3 years I will be hopefully graduating, with a stable job as a teacher and studying an Interpretation and Translation Master’s Degree, I would also like to learn a third language. In ten years I see myself married and as a working woman, continuing efforts to grow as a human being.
I may have a unique temper, consider myself special and different from others, a lucky girl blessed with the family she has, and surrounded by real friends, but as everyone else I have dreams and goals which I am building today to achieve them tomorrow.
